Partner with Gilgal to make a difference

Our corporate partners care deeply about our mission and truly want to make a difference. Giving back by supporting a grass roots charity like us creates lasting, positive change within our community.

The biggest way corporate partners help small charities like Gilgal is through regularly monetary donations, which allow us to keep offering our vital services.

There are three main areas in which we need support:

  • Sustainability: providing a place of safety and hope. Our refuges offer not just a bed, but a first step towards safety, dignity, and hope.
£XX could sponsor a room for a year.
  • Growth: opening the door to more women. Currently, we are growing our prevention work by offering support to women and children in the community at our drop-in sessions.
£XX could provide a Support Worker’s salary for a year.
  • Wellbeing: giving women and children the support to heal. We have qualified IDVAs, ISVAs, and a Play Therapist who work with both our residents and the wider community on their journey to recovery.
£XX could buy a counselling session for a child in need.
  • Making us their charity of the year

  • Regular monetary donations to help with the running costs of the refuge

  • Donations of items such as seasonal gifts

  • Offering professional services such as legal, accounting, event planning, and marketing advice

  • Fundraising through a sponsored run, skydive, bungee jump or mountain climb

  • Staff volunteer days within the refuge or Charity Shop

  • Payroll giving and matched donations

  • Championing us within their workplace and community, helping us spread the word about domestic abuse

Volunteers from our corporate partners Gateley and Barratt homes

In addition to monetary donations, corporate partners are also often involved by giving in kind. This means offering their professional services on a pro bono basis; like VWV, who provide our residents with legal support. Finance, marketing, HR and construction are just a few examples of such services.

We occasionally have opportunities for our partners to volunteer with us outside of their own fields, such as decorating the refuge or providing an activity for our residents. In 2024, Gateley and Barratt Homes ran a memorable Build-a-Bear workshop for the children in the refuge to enjoy.

“Thank you for inviting us into the home of so many wonderful individuals. Everyone was so kind to us and it was such a joy meeting some of your residents, and for more of our own team to see all the wonderful work Gilgal do. We hope we can do something similar again soon.”
